Macs are very popular computers. Then again, so are Windows PCs. You may be questioning though, Why Buy a Mac Computer? Apple makes both the hardware and the software. Microsoft does make some software such as Microsoft Office, but Apple makes all of their software instead of 3rd parties. This means you don’t have to struggle to find software and you don’t have to worry about software having viruses.
This is a huge factor in my opinion. How much time does it take from the moment you hit the power switch to the moment you can start using your computer? Well, according to research done by CNET, the average PC running Windows 7 boots up in 43 seconds. A comparable Mac was running Snow Leopard boots up in 36 seconds.
We’ve all heard that Macs don’t get viruses. Well, that’s not true. They do. However, they don’t get nearly as many as Windows PCs do.
What?!? Apps?!? There’s a ton of software out there for Windows that can’t work on a Mac! While that is true, you have done forget that I’m talking about “out-of-the-box” systems here… A Windows machine will typically come with a nice bundle of software, but they’re all free trails that will cost you a pretty penny to keep going beyond their evaluation period. Macs come packed with productivity and creativity software that you can use forever… and ever.
When shopping for a new computer, the one thing you’ll notice when comparing Macs to PCs is that everybody makes PCs, but only Apple makes Macs. There are hundreds of ways to put a PC together and only a few ways to put a Mac together. Most users don’t know how to spec out a new machine properly and will just aim to get “the best one.” The average computer user doesn’t know what the difference is between an i5 and an i7 processor and even if they had an idea, they wouldn’t even know how to appreciate an i7.
With that said, Apple has already done all of the research for their customers. They put together computers with hardware that perfectly complements their software. This gives you the most optimized performance and experience for your specification level. Piecing together a PC with Dell.com or HP.com can be confusing and intimidating to the average user. Apple not only makes it easier to use their devices but also to buy them.
The camaraderie among Mac users is amazing. It’s just as strong as camaraderie among Linux users, only not as creepy. That passion is a big part of why I put this page together. You Mac users know why you’re Mac users and this article is not for you. It’s for everyone else. So the next time a Windows nerd or a Linux geek calls you an Apple Zombie.
The Mac OS is a very clean operating system that runs very fast. Anyone who has a pc knows very well that sometimes it goes very slow. Macs computers do not do this always; it is well built. You can have both Operating Systems by installing Windows on Mac computers
